The artist explores the nature of balance; with her presence negotiating the ‘form-formless equilibrium’ in the tripartite of space, material and forces. Her practice involves a journey through everything that oscillates in-between states in precarious existence, questioning:
What meanings do the forms conjure as they continue to be reshaped by time, nature and invisible forces?
These stones are meticulously chosen by the artist based on textures, colours and form. The stones are composites of natural elements
formed over a long period of time. Invoking the practice of suiseki, the artist sculpts through configuration. Unfixed, the form arises when all are in balance, yet only in a precarious state. There is movement in stillness.
